Episode Spotlight

The Root Collective

The Root Collective partners with small, independent workshops in Guatemala City, Pastores, Antigua, and other small communities. Their mission is to humanize the fashion industry. They do that by reminding consumers that a real person with a real name makes the things we wear. Root Collective partners directly with small workshops in Guatemala with the goal of supporting these existing workshops, that are run by local business owners, through employment. The producers earn anywhere from 50-400% above the Fair Wage minimum in Guatemala, depending on their skill and job description.
