We have finite time, energy levels, knowledge, and brains but also a servant heart that puts us in pursuit of a multitude of things as social entrepreneurs. The more we relentlessly pursue completion of these tasks, we risk overwhelm and ultimately, burning out.

In today's episode, Annica and Jenny talk about the difference between overwhelm and burnout, how it shows up in our lives, our capacity vs capability, and some practical tips on how to reignite the spark of our passions as leaders, women, and social entrepreneurs.

Episode Spotlight

Handspun Hope

Handspun Hope envisions entire communities freed from poverty. They pursue this by reaching out to the most vulnerable people in Rwanda and creating environments where the people are empowered to live out their full potential at work, home and in their spiritual lives.

Handspun Hope is an initiative based on the belief that solutions to poverty should be entrepreneurial, innovative and holistic. They currently employ over 120 at-risk women in northern Rwanda.

The women create gorgeous organic yarn from their own flocks of Merino sheep and German Angora rabbits. In addition to the employment of these women and a total of 157 employees, Handspun Hope also runs the Hope Artisan Collective, a curated collection of beautiful products from their favorite artisans and cooperatives.
